This year, Representative Gayle Kingery (R-Poplar Bluff) has introduced HJR 13, a measure which would call for a ballot question to allow members to serve 16 years.  This bill currently has 19 cosponsors, and was referred to the Committee on Elections.  One of the bills co-sponsors sits on the committee of referral.  It has Passed Committee with a  9 to 1 vote. The last action was taken on March 10th.

Threat Level:     Watch.  High chance of passing.  Several legislators will be term limited this year, and are likely to make a play to amend term limits.
