SJR 1550 , would have amended term limits from 8 consecutive years to 12 consecutive years. It died in the first chambers third committee. The Committee Chairman under pressure pulled his amendment and caused the bill to fail.

S2378, is the Senates version of HM 1275, which calls for congress to consider congressional term limits. It failed as well
