Make Term Limits the Focal Point of Your Campaign

Now that you have signed the pledge, it’s time to take the next step and turn your support into action.  Here are a few ways that you can amplify your term limits advocacy in your campaign:

  1. Advocate for congressional term limits in interviews. If you need assistance in drafting talking points for interviews and campaign literature, you can find talking points in our blog.
  2. Make a term limits policy section on your website. All you need is to share that you signed the pledge alongside a few talking points about why you think term limits are important.
  3. Post about term limits on social media. You can use memes from our digital toolkit, a photograph of you with your pledge, a video on why you support term limits, etc.
  4. Run ads on your endorsement of congressional term limits.
  5. For opponents that have either not signed or flipped on their pledge, highlight it in a public forum or a debate. Why do they not support an issue that unites 87% of Americans?
  6. Host a term limits press event.

USTL does not endorse candidates, you endorse term limits on Congress. We are always happy to provide a helpful quote or comment to the media. Let us know if you would like a USTL representative to attend your event (virtual or in-person) to explain the importance of your pledge. Email us at press@termlimits.com.

What's your reaction?
