Arkansas

Arkansas Term Limits used a wooden Trojan horse in 2014 to show voters that politicians were scamming the people to obtain longer term limits.

2014 was a tough pill to swallow for voters in Arkansas. Politicians deceived voters with a sneaky ballot title that lengthened the state’s legislative term limits. The legislature now has “the weakest term limit in America”, giving a representative the ability to serve 16 years in one seat.

Thankfully, citizens have now organized a ballot drive to let voters Restore Term Limits in the fall of 2018. The folks at Arkansas Term Limits are launching a grassroots initiative to collect the 126,000 petition signatures required to place this on the ballot. Round up your friends and family, and check out their website to see how to get started restoring the people’s term limits.
